Thoughts on overthinking

I recently encountered a person with this habit. If a thinking process won’t produce any results, why do we go ahead with it?

Overthinking mostly crops up when we are idle. An idle mind is always a devil’s workshop. So always indulge in creating something worthwhile. For that, we have to recreate our thought process.

If we think about the past mostly it will be regrets that can lead to depression, and if we think about the future it will lead mostly to anxiety. Those are not under our control. So, what we can control is our present state of mind. Make the most of it and leave a mark of our own in this world.

In the present technologically advanced world, there are a lot of ways a person can build up a particular career of one’s own interest and can remain engaged in any activity.

There is a saying,"past is a history, future is a mystery and present is a gift. So enjoy the present. A celebrity recently remarked, if we keep on thinking, there is no end to it. But if we stop to think and start working, there is nothing to lose. So why can’t we stick on to these inspiring words and escape from overthinking?

“Only engage, and the mind grows heated.Begin it, and the work will be completed.” a quote I liked from the book “Goals”.

Absolutely! Focusing on the present and taking action turns our thoughts into meaningful results, freeing us from the trap of overthinking. By channeling energy into creating and doing, we shape our own path and make every moment count.

Ever caught yourself overthinking until your mind feels like a maze? :cyclone: Most of our worries come from replaying the past or fearing the future — things we can’t control. The *present* is where life actually happens. :herb: Start creating, moving, doing — that’s where peace lives. Remember, “Past is history, future a mystery, present a gift.” :wrapped_gift:

What helps you stop overthinking and stay in the moment? :thought_balloon::sparkles:

Engaging in creative activities.

Overthinking keeps us stuck in worries that don’t change anything, but the moment we shift our focus to doing something that matters to us, life feels clearer, calmer and a lot more in our control.

Overthinking mostly happens when someone is alone and keeps ruminating about past or worrying about future. Being alone doesn’t just mean having no one around but also not being able to talk to anyone, be vulnerable to someone. Having friends or family who know about this habit can help a lot in encouraging positive thinking patterns.
