We should build trust and show empathy towards the patient, as well as use the local language when advising on diet, habits, and lifestyle. Keeping things simple makes it easier for both the patient and us. A key point is to encourage the patient, and involving the family can further boost adherence.

And we face difficulties when we trying to provide preventive healthcare in large scale.
The real challenges is not everyone is aware of or understands preventive care and some people can’t afford healthy food or check-ups as well.

For effective counselling, we need to actively listen to the patient and understand their problems such as stress factors and culture.
By helping them set small achievable goals while following up on their progress regularly will help them feel supported.

Tbh being a doctor is not an easy task , they have many more other tasks too , that’s why sometimes they lack at counselling properly

Start with empathy, simplify the science, and set realistic goals small wins build lasting change. Biggest challenge? Making prevention feel urgent before disease strikes, especially in resource-limited settings.

First, from the information they given understand their lifestyle, food habits and sleep pattern. Then, on their understanding language empathetically communicate with them. Tell them how to follow the diet and living for a disease free well-being. Give your ears for their confusion and clear it.
