Medicine is a very vast topic and it is practical not possible to remember everything. Learning and knowing new things shouldn’t be considered a failure, its a way to grow and succeed.
I definitely agree when you say competence is knowing how to think, where to look and whom to approach. Competence definitely doesn’t mean memory or reproducing textbook.
