🧠 The Human Brain: The Most Mysterious Organ We Still Don’t Fully Understand

:star: Unknown Facts About the Brain

:small_orange_diamond: The brain generates electricity :high_voltage:
Enough to power a small LED bulb — your thoughts literally produce energy!

:small_orange_diamond: You have 86 billion neurons :dna::electric_plug:
Each neuron can form up to 10,000 connections, creating trillions of synapses.

:small_orange_diamond: Your brain works faster than a supercomputer :rocket:
It can process information at up to 120 meters per second.

:small_orange_diamond: Memories aren’t stored in one place :open_file_folder::brain:
They’re distributed across neural networks — this is why retrieving a memory feels like “rebuilding” it.

:small_orange_diamond: The brain cleans itself while you sleep :sleeping_face::broom:
The glymphatic system flushes toxins at night — including proteins linked to Alzheimer’s.

:small_orange_diamond: Your brain never runs out of storage :books::sparkles:
Its capacity is believed to be virtually unlimited, thanks to flexible neural connections.

:small_orange_diamond: It’s the fattiest organ in your body :butter:
About 60% fat, and that fat is essential for insulation and signal transmission.

Brain is one of the most fascinating organ, the research about different areas of brain and functions associated with them keeps on going and evolving. It’s interesting how much our tiny brain is capable of doing.

The brain, the most crucial one, is capable of controlling the whole body. Not only conscious brain but also, controls many autonomous functions without us even realizing.

The fact that the brain is ~60% fat is another underrated point. It’s why omega-3 fatty acids, especially DHA, are so important for neuronal membrane fluidity and signaling. Nutrition and brain health are way more connected than people assume.
