The Dark Side of NEET PG Preparation Nobody Talks About

NEET PG preparation is often seen as a test of hard work, but we rarely talk about the financial strain, isolation, and constant self-doubt that come with it. After years of MBBS, many find themselves stuck in an exhausting cycle with little stability or support.

Let’s talk about the reality behind the ranks. What was the hardest part of your preparation journey?

Thank you for bringing this up. We often celebrate the ranks but ignore the survival mode including patience and constantly showing up that precedes them. The isolation is particularly tough feeling that we face. The financial strain and the cycle of uncertainty after years of rigorous study can be incredibly draining.

During my preparation for NEET MDS(PG):tooth: :pill: , I had to make this hard decision of whether I should give my 100% time for the preparation :books: :closed_book: or opt to work as a Junior resident :woman_health_worker: :hospital: in a reputed Govt Hospital. I choose the former. :slightly_smiling_face:

Realizing the competition :trophy: that I have to face to get into a good government college with my favorite branch and not wanting to repeat giving the exam again really pushed me to work harder.:writing_hand: :flexed_biceps:

During this time, probably not putting my skills into use for treating patients and devoting the entire day to study was the tough part. It can be really monotonous.:sad_but_relieved_face:
