Teething – An Important Milestone in a Child’s Life
Everyone would have had teething issues at some point in their lifetime. Teething is the process by which the teeth come out of the alveolar bone through the gums and into the oral cavity. It’s an important landmark in the child’s overall development as it is the initial step in mastication, establishing oral motor behaviour and proper jaw posture. Although it’s a physiological process, it may cause some discomfort to young ones.
According to research, a mild rise in temperature may be experienced in some kids, and a high fever can be due to other reasons.
The usual symptoms include
