Strain v/s Sprain

The Confusing terms for the most of the medicos - Strain and Sprain.

STRAIN - Injury to musculotendinous part is called as Strain

SPRAIN - Injury to ligaments is referred as Sprain.

Have you ever get confused between them. If yes then how would you remember?

I was actually confused about the two then i thought strain is nothing since sprains are more common but thanks for the information

Yes, I used to also.

Then just a trick, i remember it as T in strain stands for tendon:)

Yes, it creates confusion sometimes but there is a major difference between the two terms.

Yes, we pretty much get confused with the terms, but during our times we used to remember that if there’s any muscle or tendon injury involved, it is a strain, and anything that involves ligaments is a sprain. Differentiating this term and having clarity about it is very important as physiotherapists because we primarily work on muscles, bones, and soft tissues.
