Social Media Fame vs. Clinical Competence: Who Would You Trust with Your Health?

Nowadays, social media has become a major source of information for many people. They trust it for recommendations on holiday destinations, food spots, and now even doctors. There is a growing number of people who feel that a doctor with a massive following on social media is the best because thousands of people like their content and seem to trust them.

This raises a big question about the future of healthcare. When we prioritize “influencer” doctors, are we ranking communication skills over actual medical expertise? Or is the ability to connect and build trust online now a non-negotiable for all healthcare providers? It feels like a strange new world where “likes” can sometimes carry more weight than “experience” when patients are making decisions about their health.

What do you think? Would you consider creating a social media account for yourself, or would you prefer to let your work speak for itself?

@PrernaKandpal now a days people are influenced to things like only followers, most viewed and we’ll known by everyone if the person was unexperienced and lack practical knowledge . But people still choose that person only because they simply say i know that person and I saw that person in social media .
