Sinusitis: The only winter enemy !

Sinusitis - winter’s loyal enemy attacking without warning and conquering every breath.

The inflammation of the mucosal lining of the paranasal sinuses responsible for nasal congestion, facial pain or pressure, drainage and a decreased smell sense. If the sinuses remain blocked , the stagnant mucus becomes a perfect media for bacterial infections.

The feeling of classic “my head is like it’s underwater " is a constant reminder of sinusitis in winters and cold environments. The pressure to lift up the eyes only to get irritated by light. The silent killer and companion of winters.

The burden to carry the nasal decongestants everywhere and the necessity of saline irrigations from time to time. The urge to thrive in sunlight for few moments of relief. The luxury of breathing free comes with steam inhalations.

In short, Winter’s worst plot twist.

What do you guys think of sinusitis in winters?
