What do you think is it a myth or fact that cold weather causes cold?
It’s a myth that cold weather directly causes a cold. The real culprit? Viruses, especially rhinoviruses cold weather just makes it easier for them to spread since people stay indoors more and have lower immunity.
Although there is no scientific backing for the fact cold weather causes cold and cough .. from my personal experience I can say it makes u weaker so that the virus can attack u easier . The dry weather also result in dry nose which again make u susceptible to these viruses..
I guess it’s just a myth.
myth , even in the month of MAY, JUNE people catches cold
A myth but it is responsible too coz it makes the immune system a bit weak and prone to virus
I have a theory for that, like cold weather causes vasoconstriction in the mucosa of our natural orifices, such as the nasal cavity and throat. This reduces blood flow to those areas, weakening our immunity and making us more susceptible to getting affected by pathogens. I think the same applies to having cold food and drinks!
