What are setbacks in exam preparation?
While preparing for highly competitive exams we come across moments where it seems like everything went wrong even with every right effort. Setbacks provide us with reason for introspection. Setbacks can bring breakthroughs if we analyze them properly and learn from them. Change or modify the approach and see if there are yielding positive results.

Timeline to pivot
With each setbacks during preparation we feel like do we need to pivot and try for other opportunities before it gets too late.
The too late scenario varies from person to person. There is no set rule that after this many attempts you should stop. But, we should keep introspecting along the process. According to your surrounding conditions you must decide for yourself.

What is a plan B?
Plan B is basically the second best thing we can try to arrange for ourselves. Keeping a plan B is never a sign of weakness, It is sign of practicality. It is always important to keep yourself equipped with skillsets that are industry ready.
Being prepared beforehand also reduces a lot of stress related to the outcome of the exam. And that helps with better performance. Mental health of students takes a toll in do or die situations.

I really liked the point about having a Plan B. I think Plan B doesn’t mean giving up on Plan A—it simply gives us another direction to move forward with. Having a backup plan can make the journey less stressful and help us stay adaptable when things don’t go as expected.
