All medicines have expiry date. In the case of self medication people should verify medications by noticing their expiry dates as it may lower the potency of the drug and /or it can leads to hazardous effect to human body.
Antibiotic misuse: Empirical treatments, half doses, missing antibiotic doses after feeling fine all can cause bacteria and microbes to grow resistant to these medications, so, these antibiotics are no longer effective.
Inaccurate doses: Self-medicating, leads to take an incorrect dose because a lower amount can be less effective and if, accidentally taking overdose it is extremely dangerous and life-threatening. Inaccurate doses can increase the chance of experiencing negative medication interactions.
