The patient has been undergoing treatment for epilepsy for the last 20 years. The patient had leg pain and could not hang the legs while in a sitting position. The patient was only comfortable when the legs were kept in a folded position.
A few veins colored red were conspicuous on the back side of the legs. The patient thought it was a varicose vein and undertook ayurvedic medicines(UMA tablets), which gave her relief for some time. Also, tried the yoga pose “warrior pose” for varicose veins, which provided temporary relief.
Then the patient went for a regular check-up for epilepsy to a neurosurgeon. Then also complained about leg pain. The surgeon examined the legs and ruled out varicose veins. It was diagnosed as “thread veins”. This is due to seizure-related strain and impact on the cardiovascular system.
The above is the image of thread veins observed on the legs of patients.
The patient was given “RAISE Q10” tablets, which gave much relief.
The above is the image of “RAISE Q10” tablets.
This is an example of self-diagnosis that often leads to misdiagnosis, leading to loss of money and unnecessary medication. Can’t we avoid it?
