Rounds or OPD?

Rounds or OPD?

Which one leaves you more exhausted – the chaos of patient after patient, or the marathon of ward visits?

I have no love for OPD or outpatient clinics. I am an ICU guy. Used to shift work and drill round the clock and then sign off.

Patients one after one in OPD.. You are not moving, and the patients are irritable since they are tired of waiting for their turn .

For me, OPD makes exhausted
Because of continuous flow of patients,
To be so rapid and efficient
To have all Out patient protocol and treatment, ready in our brain and to write accurate prescription on time
To provide apt consolation and counselling to parents

  • All these especially for PEDIATRICS branch
