There are many seats vacant in govt. And private hospitals/institutes which are unnoticed and are not being taken into consideration to be filled. So, inviting applicants for those posts with a proper procedure can help alot in this context.
Moreover, equipping medicos with some more supportive skills like technical, communication, computer, etc. Will make them deserving for more versatile jobs.
Mbbs is a course which is studied for years literally putting their 6 to 7 years to their life for protecting many people in future. After all these efforts still many doctors are the victims of unemployment in India. This problem can be improved by making changes in recruiting procedure in government hospitals like providing more vacancies for doctors and construction of more government hospitals
Expanding Health & Wellness Centres and Urban Primary Health Centres with sanctioned MBBS posts can directly give opportunities for new doctors. This creates jobs on day one while addressing rural and community health needs.
Rising unemployment among India’s young doctors highlights a worrying gap between medical education and job opportunities. Despite years of rigorous training, many struggle to find stable roles. Strengthening healthcare infrastructure, expanding rural postings, and creating research opportunities could help address this crisis and utilize their skills effectively.
The unemployment issue in India among young doctors is a concerning matter.
It shows the mismatch between the number of students passing the college and availability if job opportunities.
In addition to this limited government vacancies leaves many qualified and deserving candidates unemployed despite the increasing need in healthcare sector
Government Hospital is a place where an economically backward person opt to visit in cases of medical emergency. By implementing more positions for Doctors and other medical professionals, the time and quality of treatment can be improved effectively. When more appointments are available, it can ease the workload and enhance the quality and accuracy of the service provided to the people
I think increasing the seats or number of doctors in hospitals can help with unemployment. Additionally, the government should build more multi-speciality hospitals in rural areas. Building more hospitals will not only improve the current condition but also give the people who live in these areas a chance to access healthcare facilities.
Absolutely vital points. Along with this govt should open more hospitals in rural areas where healthcare system is not available And appoint more doctors where it is necessary. That resolves unemployment and helpful to common people’s.
Converting district hospitals into teaching hospitals also beneficial to students, where they can get more exposure to clinical practice.
This is something pharmacy students relate to deeply too. We study for years, yet jobs don’t match the number of graduates. Expanding government posts, strengthening public healthcare, and planning workforce needs better could help both doctors and pharmacists find timely, meaningful employment.
Surely its an alarming concern for health care sector. Goverment should promote more and more community centres in the semi-urban and rural areas where the public do not have access to quality health care services with the decent payment to doctors..
Currently most of the resident posts offering a decent pay are in the government sector. It also allows better clinical exposure. However these government set-ups are often time resource strapped, not being equipped with the latest equipment while handling insane amounts of patient load. There are posts available in the private hospitals are limited as well , and they come with their own set of challenges. Greater job creation is the need of the hour.
India is a densely populated country with a growing demand for healthcare. Improving the quality of hospitals and medical colleges and increasing seats can reduce the burden on students and postgraduate doctors too
Unemployment is much wider issue, phd scholars, phd holders and large number of graduate, post graduate individuals are unemployed or underemployed, while students ask for teachers,in many colleges hiring process after a professor’s retirement is too slow, and teachers longing for jobs there is some serious loop hole in system.
The rise in number of unemployment in the medical profession is higher in the recent times. A lot of graduates are overexploited or not able to find a suitable job which arises the concern for the change in the healthcare system. More job opportunities can be created in urban and rural areas, especially in the remote areas where the propensity of specialised healthcare professionals is low due to the lack of infrastructure and basic facilities. Improving the same may lead to the opportunity for the professionals and would also meet the treatment needs of the people residing there.
I think our healthcare system needs an upgrade desperately. Not just MBBS graduates but I see dental and ayurvedic doctors experiencing the same issue.
