More hospitals more awareness of medical sciences
Yes rural areas do need more doctors and advanced screening techniques. It is something we all know about it, and still no work has been done in this domain.
This is rising concern by creating more positions in primary health centers, introducing mandatory placements with fair pay, and encouraging private–public partnerships, we can ensure that doctors find employment while communities get better access to healthcare.
There is a need for more doctors in our country. Government should take necessary actions on increasing in medical seats and employment opportunities to the graduated people.
Totally agree. Even though we know the condition in rural areas. We desperately need docs with specialization and advanced screening instructions. Sadly, not having doctors in rural hospitals is becoming the new normal. It’s not just about employment, it’s about accessible healthcare. Doctors with expertise in areas like diabetes or cardiovascular diseases could make a huge difference.

This is a rising concern with increasing unemployed doctors having proper medical education.
First change should be respect any doctor same if its fresher or experience
Second have decent pay in starting also and give chance to freshers also.
Government has to play a greater role in this matter. There are many rural areas where there are no proper access to hospitals. Government should take necessary steps to implement advanced healthcare services to rural areas so the lack of healthcare service will not endanger any patient’s life. Expanding hospitals will not only reduce the pandemic rates but also provides employment to the upcoming doctors.
I think the government should partner with corporate hospitals by given them tax benefit in exchange of jobs to the doctors - JR and SR both. In government hospitals, they should increase seats for JR and SR as there is evidently scarcity of doctors in government institution. Existing doctors have to do overtime to compensate.
Its is the India’s major issue for young doctors reflects a serious mismatch between the number of MBBS graduates and available jobs or PG seats. Low private salaries, limited government posts and urban saturation worsen the issue. India needs better rural infrastructure, postgraduate opportunities and fair pay to truly utilise its medical workforce.
(Rising Unemployment Among India’s Young Doctors):
It feels sad to see many young doctors struggling for jobs after years of hard work. Government should focus on creating more posts and better facilities so their knowledge can be used.
More hospitals can resolve the problem
First of all Government should increase the number of seats in government colleges so that more students get opportunity to study MBBS. Also the salary of MBBS doctors should be increased so that they will not resign from rural hospitals
There are many doctors and medical professional are needed allover india without proper management and scheduling many person are affected
I agree with you. Increasing posts and upgrading hospitals will definitely improve healthcare. It will also motivate doctors and other medical staff to serve better.
Major problem that i could feel while working in smaller private hospitals is that there many individual with BAMS and BHMS degree working on small wages and prescribing allopathic medicine ,without proper authorization. It significantly brings down opportunities and demand salary of a MBBS graduates. That being said , there as less infrastructures, less hospitals and very competitive NEET PG exam with loads of reservation in them too , plays a major role in rising unemployment among Indian young doctors.
I totally agree with you. But the government should also increase the payscale of doctors so that more and more doctors don’t go outside India for work
According to me, unemployment is rising more than we realize. While many blame the government, I believe graduates also share some responsibility. Everyone’s priority and dream—including mine—is to work in big tier cities rather than serve in villages.
My tip for those graduating now: plan your career ahead and stay focused, whether it’s pursuing a postgraduate degree or any other path.
Can encourage them by creating more career paths, reduce dependency on a small number of government jobs, and increase opportunities in India’s new approach to health-tech sector by guiding medical professionals to pursue new careers in areas like clinical research and artificial intelligence in healthcare.
When we are talking about the raising unemployment among young MBBS graduates, a lot of uncertainty and confusion arises. Let’s take a step back and address the exam any student goes through to pursue further in this degree i.e, NEET PG.
In my opinion, this exam has always been very unstable. A lot of students apply and unfortunately in a country like India politics plays a huge role. The seats and opportunities to take up further specialisations are also drastically very low even though the number of students keep increasing exponentially every year. Very talented individuals lose their chance thanks to this.
And once students lose hope, they turn to private hospitals offering jobs for their survival. But these jobs are very tiring, since you are at the bottom of the ladder of hierarchy you aren’t treated any better and are expected to work and pick up shifts. Due to the fear of burning out and the fear of losing time to be able to crack the pg exam, many dont opt to work.
Rural services program is an excellent place to increase experience for any graduate. It provides you the grassroot level of problems and burden of our healthcare system. To our dismay, the government does not provide accommodation or timely salaries. They, however, expect these young doctors to start working immediately which is inhumane.
Increasing our pg seats and having the government take responsibility for rural services could go a long way. Of course, without the support of the people it would be a long and a hard fight.
As a Healthcare stream student, I feel the frustration of delayed opportunities firsthand. More opportunity in residency seats and government jobs, especially in rural areas, could help. No young doctor should face unemployment after years of hard work.
