Retinal research- Gold nanoparticles restores vision in mice

  • Gold nanoparticle eye trail in the mice was firstly performed at the brown university in the USA.

  • Experiment on the mice was conducted with retinal degeneration and it was succeeded in restoring the vision by using the gold nanoparticles on April 16,2025.

  • RESULTS:

Restored the functional vision: Mice is able to respond for the visual.

No toxicity and no inflammation: After testing for several months the nanoparticles are safe in the eye by not damaging the tissue.

Long term effect: After the initial treatment it has been cleared that it will show the long term effect.

Visual Activation: The signals was reached to the brain and indicates signals from retina to brain connection.

NOT YET READY FOR HUMAN TRIALS: This research is undergoing in the animals but not yet stepped into human trials.
