Pre-hypertension in Students: Call for Action

Is stress increasing among students in general. There are reports stating increase in pre hypertensive individuals particularly in teenage group

What’s your take on this? And how can we prevent this?

Yes, it is.

In my opinion the reason of the frequent stress in the teenagers are :-
•The Career tension
•To fulfill peoples over expectations
•Inability to deal with the failures
•Lack of career guidance
•Sedentary lifestyle
•Poor Eating habits
•Lack of discipline
•Altered sleeping pattern

This all factors collectively can lead to the frequent stress in the teenagers which can result in the symptoms of prehypertension.

Also I’d like to add about the relationship breakup phase which some youngsters go through. Also consumption of so much of salty and carbonated stuff can be harmful.

It’s sadly very visible. Student stress, even pre-hypertension in teens, seems genuinely on the rise.
Preventing it needs more focus on mental well being, balanced schedules, and strong support systems in schools and at home.
