While their is positive impact on birth rate and infant mortality rate , they are decreased from previous data. But states like Madhya Pradesh , Uttar Pradesh and Odisha is still lagging behind . But there is no change in maternal mortality ratio (MMR).
These area still requires targeted attention on National health system.

It’s often a combination of factors: many births still occur at home without skilled medical supervision, while poor roads and a lack of transport can make it impossible for women to reach a hospital during an emergency.

A positive decline in mortality as highlighted in the SRS 2025 report reflects the nation’s progress in healthcare access, disease prevention, and improved living standards—an encouraging sign towards better public health outcomes.
