Yes rural healthcare should improve. It’s difficult for the people there to access to good healthcare system. Women are made to travel for long time on bad roads to deliver baby. It’s really making their life difficult.

The government initiative for the same are good, but need much more structured protocol

Yes , Rural healthcare need urgent attention . Everyone deserve equal access to healthcare

Yes, true. Along with poor infrastructure and shortage of doctors, lack of awareness and unemployment also play a big role. Many people can’t afford treatment or don’t know when to seek help, which makes the situation even harder in rural areas.

Rural healthcare is a pressing issue, even in 2025 in India. But you will be surprised to find that, there are doctors who try to make a considerable difference with available potential and resources. If you are a medical professional who want to make a difference, this story about a doctor couple will inspire you.

Most importantly safe working environment and doctors safety should be looked upon. Because I think that is one of the major reason doctors are hesitant to work in extreme rural areas, and that’s where doctors are needed. Not to mention, what will a doctor do without infrastructure and medical supplies. And I have seen PHCs working on full capacity even sometimes providing critical management as well. But that to without resources. Of course we do have noteworthy people like Baba and Sadhanatai Amte, his son and daughter-in-law Dr prakash and Dr Mandakini Amte, Dr Abhay and Rani Bang and many more. Who are still working and trying to provide medical care in their capacities. But where is government in that ???
