OUR CERTIFICATE IS TOTALLY OUR RESONSIBILITY

Being as a pharma graduate we only have the right to run the medical stores with the certification from PCI. and we pharma graduates only knows about the medications properly. Mostly in our india many pharma graduates are giving their PCI certificates to the unknown people for running the medical stores and earning money. The people who are running medical stores are uneducated people mostly. In my opinion this should be changed. Because we only know what medications are good and what medications may cause effect to people while dispensing . so why to handover our certification on others for our own profit. This may affect on public health. And there is a high chance of misleading with our certificate. Once any of the patient is affected then our license will be permanently cancelled by PCI. So this should be stopped. What is your opinion

You’re right. As registered pharmacists, it is our duty to protect public health. Giving our PCI certificate to unqualified people just for money is not only unethical but also dangerous.

Thanks for raising this important issue.

Totally agreed with you. Our certificate is our responsibility not only a source of income.

Nowadays, people are selling their certificates to unqualified individuals for a certain amount of money, compromising patient safety and medical ethics.

You raise a very important point. As pharma graduates, we have the proper knowledge to handle medicines safely, and giving our PCI certificates to untrained people to run medical stores is risky. I agree this practice should stop, and stricter rules or awareness are needed to protect public health and ensure only qualified people manage medicines.

Yes it’s true, not all people know the proper dosage form & time & duration of administration of the medicament. Only pharmacist will understand properties and their role to the patients.

I completely agree with you. As pharmacy graduates, we are trained to understand medicines, their side effects, interactions, and how they should be dispensed. Giving our PCI license to someone unqualified just for extra income is not only risky but also irresponsible. It puts people’s health at risk, and like you said, if anything goes wrong, it’s our license and career on the line.

This practice really needs to stop. If we worked so hard to earn that certification, we should also carry the responsibility that comes with it. Public health and safety should always come first.
