A clear intervention is required against the use of tobacco and its products. India has a very high incidence of oral cancer due to both tobacco use and smoking. More public health awareness programs and screening should be conducted.

Awareness about screening or even oral health checkup every six months

Letting your friends and dear ones know about this too is important.

Avoiding tobacco and alcohol
Follow a good oral hygiene
Regular dental appointments
Diet and nutrition
Limit your exposure to the sun

By actively changing habits - We know that it’s really difficult by its the only option.

By using replacements that are less harmful and then decreasing their use day by day can be useful in such situations.

Awarenes programs should be conducted door to door. No tobacco person is going to volunteer himself for a screening program. So screeing ecah house in tobacco overusage regions must be done.
