No White Coat Is Lesser

When did healing start competing with healing?

omewhere along the way,
we started comparing the very professions that exist to heal.

MBBS vs BDS.
Doctor vs Dentist.
Clinical vs Non-clinical.

But pause for a moment
does responsibility change with the degree?

Every medical professional spends years
studying the human body
its systems, its functions, its diseases, and its cures.

The books may differ.
The subjects may vary.
But the commitment?
The sacrifice?
The responsibility?

Exactly the same.

Behind every white coat is:
– sleepless nights
– self-doubt
– constant learning
– and the silent pressure of getting it right

Because at the end of the day,
someone’s health depends on you.

A dentist relieving pain.
A doctor diagnosing disease.
A nurse offering care when no one else can.

Different roles.
Same purpose.

So why compare?

The truth is
medicine never taught us hierarchy.

It taught us:
to treat without bias
to care without discrimination
to heal without judgment

Maybe it’s time we apply that within our own community too.

Not everyone will understand your journey.
But that doesn’t give anyone the right to diminish it.

So here’s a small thought to carry forward

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Acknowledge, if not appreciate.
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Respect, even if you don’t relate.
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Stand for each other, not against.

Because no white coat is lesser.

Only different.

Completely agree with you

Very well written post.

Yes, to serve with a higher purpose.

Yes, every white coat has a purpose nothing less or more.

Very well said, I completely agree. There should be no differences within our community.

Every profession has its own responsibilities and commitment. At the end of the day, it’s all about helping and healing others.
