NEET MDS: What are the coaching tools Available?

For NEET -PG aspirants, the coaching tools are available in plenty. Eg: Marrow, Prepladder and various online and offline tools and institutions.
What is the PG entrance preparation scenario in India for those who want to get into MDS after BDS?
How do aspirants prepare for NEET- MDS? How is the coaching market? What are the good resources that dental graduates utlize to give the best shot for cracking NEET MDS and getting in to a good college?

That’s a very valid question, and it highlights a significant gap in the current postgraduate entrance preparation system.

While NEET-PG aspirants from MBBS backgrounds have access to well-established platforms like Marrow, Prepladder, DAMS, and several others offering structured study plans, experienced faculty, comprehensive question banks, and clinically oriented learning, the scenario is quite different for NEET-MDS aspirants.

For dental graduates, the preparation landscape remains largely unstructured and outdated.

Most NEET-MDS aspirants still depend on:

  • Old editions of Pulse, which have not kept pace with recent exam trends
  • Coaching centers that continue to follow traditional, theory-heavy methods and have not adapted to the increasing focus on clinical application
  • Scattered online test series, which often lack proper explanations, regular updates, or subject-wise integration

There is currently no dedicated platform offering a complete preparation plan that includes updated notes, clinically relevant content, video lectures, and guided mentorship.

With the NEET-MDS 2025 exam placing greater emphasis on clinical and concept-based MCQs, this lack of modern, focused preparation tools is a real concern. Aspirants are often left to combine multiple outdated resources and prepare in isolation, which is far from ideal given the limited number of government MDS seats and increasing competition.

There is a clear need for a structured, up-to-date, and comprehensive preparation system designed specifically for dental graduates aiming for MDS.

Yes. There are no platforms that currently gives online coaching or provide a structured syllabus for NEET-MDS prep..
In south India, there is a well-known coaching center Cedees started by a periodontist. Other than that, there are no known coaching centres as well to my knowledge.

Love to know more about this as this topic is not my cup of tea

I have no knowledge about this looking forward for the answer in the comments.

I don’t have any experience

Dental Pulse Books
Dental pulse academy online exams
Cedees Coaching Centre in Bangalore
MDS Conquer - they provide both online and offline coaching.

NEET MDS also should have platforms like NEET PG do

I haven’t heard about this as im not an bds graduate or student

Yes, the NEET-MDS prep scene is quite scattered compared to NEET-PG. While books like Dental Pulse and Dentest remain the backbone, many aspirants combine them with test series, Telegram groups, and newer apps like MDSPrep. There’s still no perfect platform, so most of us end up piecing together our own strategy. It’s tough, but with consistency and smart planning, it’s definitely doable.

Yes it is quite unstructured and scattered ,

Some of the things I took help during my preparation —–

  1. Buy pulse book start solving from day 1

  2. I took online subscription of DENTAL PULSE ..there are tests , lecture videos one can go through .

Also there are some other online platforms also you can consider like DBMCI , MERITERS, PULP ( it’s containing advance level questions )

  1. Main key : Be consistent in what you read and solving questions . Prepare daily routine and follow that

I agree that NEET-MDS doesn’t have that many platforms as compared to NEET-PG, but there are other tools available as such.
Dental Pulse is apparently considered to be the Bhagwad Gita equivalent book for NEETMDS preparation.
Apart from that there are other books available as well like Neeraj Wadhawan, DenTest, and other books for individual subjects.
We have a lot of coaching options as well ranging from CEDEES(I took this), AspireMDS, Meriters, DBMCI, etc.
There are apps available where you can practice MCQs such as Pulp(a great one), Meriters, etc.
The key for NEET MDS is a great coaching to get the basics correct, Dental Pulse, MCQs, mock tests and consistency and repition.
I’m currently aspiring for NEET MDS, feel free to ask any doubts.

I am currently not looking forward to do MDS. But the only source I am currently aware of is dental pulse!

I have shared the list of sources that I know.

:books: Books

Dental Pulse – One of the most popular books. It has previous year MCQs with answers and explanations. Also includes topic-wise discussions and questions from NEET MDS, AIIMS, etc.

:money_bag: Price: Around ₹4,000–₹5,000

Tip : You can buy used books as well. They differ just by few questions.

:mobile_phone: Online Platforms

MDS Prep App – Offers question papers, notes, MCQs, and test series. They have different plans (only questions, with/without notes) and access for up to 5 years.

:money_bag: Price: ₹6,000–₹40,000 (based on the plan)

Tip : Take test series package and you can learn the rest from your books.

:school: Offline Coaching

CeedES – A well-known coaching center that provides live classes, test series, and constant motivation.

:money_bag: Price: ₹8,000–₹40,000

Tip : Better take a residential coaching so that you can stay focused without distractions.

Other centers like Target, Aspire, and MDS Conquer are also there. But the ones above are what I’ve learned about or tried myself.

Here’s a comparison of the top NEET MDS coaching platforms
Aspire MDS - Full syllabus video lectures, WhatsApp doubt support, expert mentorship Self-paced learners & crash course seekers ₹2,999 – ₹14,999
Meriters - 25,000+ MCQs, AI-powered analytics, daily tests, recall-based content Students who love structured practice & test analysis ₹10,000 – ₹35,000
Cedees - Live & satellite classes, personal mentorship, strong offline presence Students preferring classroom coaching & emotional support ₹2,999 – ₹14,999
Focus Dentistry - Live weekend classes, recorded videos, crash courses, PSC prep support Aspirants needing short-term intensive prep & Kerala PSC guidance ₹5,000 – ₹15,000

Aspire MDS

• Offline video access
• WhatsApp discussion groups
• Structured prep plans
• Trusted by top rankers

Meriters

• AI-based performance tracking
• Grand mocks with national ranking
• Marathon series for high-yield questions
• Strong app interface

Cedees

• 15-month coaching programs
• Emotional mentorship by Dr. Raison Thomas
• High success rate in AIIMS, PGI, NEET

Focus Dentistry

• Kerala-based coaching with national reach
• PSC & Army Dental Corps prep
• Daily mock tests & revision modules

In my opinion, NEET-MDS prep has become more structured with online tools like Marrow Dental, PrepLadder, and Dental Pulse. Aspirants now rely on video lectures, MCQs, and mock tests for smart, focused study. With the right resources and consistent effort, getting into a good MDS college is definitely possible.
