Being a medical student I always had some curiousity like all the other medicos, let’s point the expectations we had when we were students vs what actually happens:-
Confidently diagnosing rare diseases
Reality: Googling symptoms before every class.
Always surrounded by smart people
Reality: No one knows what’s going on 80% of the time😶
Learning cool procedures
Reality: Learning how to carry patients’ files and writing notes😶
Glamorous night shifts
Reality: Sleeping for 3 hours and reading whole night.
What were your student vs doctor realisations ??

Being a medical student I feel proud myself and think that yes I have really a fruitful future.
But when I seen the doctors in my hospital then sometimes I get scared…there is no time to eat, no sleep, overtime duties, mental frustration and much more.
Life of a medical student and a doctor is much different.
