MBBS in Georgia: A Preferred Choice among Indian Students

Every year, lakhs of students in India dream of becoming doctors, appear for the NEET examination for getting entry into MBBS course. However, the competition involved in this exam, limited government seats and high private colleges fees forbid students from turning their dreams into reality. Also, the scams like the one in 2024 associated with the NEET exam further fuels up this issue.

Surpassing these hurdles, many Indian students keep on chasing their dreams by pursuing MBBS in Georgia, a country located at the intersection of Eastern Europe and West Asia. As admission into government universities requires to score a high cut off in NEET ( 550-710 marks) and tuition fees for private universities is high (35 lakh-2 crore) for the entire course duration, thus MBBS in Georgia is opted as a better way.

· Affordable tuition fees around 25-45 lakhs for entire course duration.

This is very informative. I’m currently pursuing MBBS in Georgia, and I definitely agree—it’s cost-effective and offers great global exposure. However, it does come with its challenges. Learning the local language really helps, and for anyone genuinely aiming to pursue a master’s abroad, it can be a great opportunity.

Great opportunity as many students are unable to get admission due to high cutoff and only qualifying NEET can save many students from taking year gap.

Being a medical graduate from Georgia, I could say that … MBBS in Georgia is a great option for anyone who wants to escape the loop of NEET UG drops and cut-offs …. It not only provides a student with great learning experience but is also pocket friendly when it comes to daily student needs.

There are many indian restaurants and markets to overcome the feeling of homesickness.

Language is a barrier but the studies for international students is in English with extra classes for the native Kartuli language that helps the students to understand basic patient’s needs, also the senior doctors and teachers are really helpful.

Over-all if someone is looking for an option abroad, Georgia is an affordable and preferable option when it comes to being student friendly.

MBBS abroad is an amazing option provided the rules by NMC stays the same instead of fluctuating…. However, while looking for an option in Europe, Georgia is considered a preference.

To be honest, I’m still exploring, but for as long as I’ve been here, it’s been a very pleasant country. The people are very helpful, and it feels quite safe. The university I’m in, Georgian American University, has really good teachers who are supportive and helpful as well.
