What’s the best advice you’ve ever received, something that stuck with you and truly changed the way you see your medical career or life?
How has it shaped the choices you make or the way you handle tough moments?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received was:
“You don’t have to be everything at once.”
In medicine, it’s easy to feel like you have to excel constantly—be the top student, the perfect intern, emotionally strong, always available. But this advice reminded me that growth is not instant, and it’s okay to learn, stumble, and pause.
It’s shaped how I handle pressure. During tough moments, instead of feeling like a failure, I remind myself I’m still becoming. It helps me stay grounded, ask for help when I need it, and take things one step at a time—with grace, not guilt.
The life changing observation that I have made during this years of my graduation is that - everyone has their own journeys. Everyone has their own pace to deal with the situations. Just don’t hustled your life unnecessarily. An enjoy every bit of a moment.
Just focus on yourself, on your goals.
Make genuine connection otherwise do not.
True, we should focus on getting better each day and stop comparing yourself with others.
It’s a long journey so we shouldn’t stress ourselves and need to learn to balance.
