Some people hear the word “feminism” and immediately roll their eyes.
Why?
Because somewhere along the way, the word got misunderstood… or misused.
But feminism isn’t anti-men. It’s anti-inequality.
Feminism means supporting equal opportunities — in education, salary, leadership, healthcare, safety… not just for women, but for everyone.
Feminism also speaks for men who face stereotypes:
Boys who are told “Don’t cry, be a man”
Fathers who want equal parenting roles
Male nurses or teachers who get judged
Men’s mental health being ignored because “they’re supposed to be strong”
This isn’t a fight against anyone.
It’s a fight for fairness.
Unfortunately, in recent times, feminism is being seen as aggressive, one-sided, or unnecessary.
But that’s not what true feminism looks like.
Real feminism is when:
A girl gets to study as much as her brother.
A husband respects his wife’s dreams as much as his own.
A male friend supports his female friend’s safety without mocking it.
A society allows both genders to express pain, love, ambition, and weakness without shame.
Let’s bring back this meaning.
Let’s unlearn the noise and relearn the purpose.
Because feminism isn’t just a women’s issue — it’s a human issue.
What does feminism mean to you?
