Let’s listen to our bodies!

The greatest machine of all times- the greatest creation of nature is the human body. Even a simple process like breathing is so complex at micro level. The cells interact with each other, systems interact with each other. It is a beautiful synchronisation-our health.

In case of any derangement of health, all the body systems are in co-ordination with each other. Moreover, our body communicates with us as well. Any alarming situation in the internal environment, the body will not fail in letting us know about it. Any allergic reaction that occurs is our body’s way of telling us that “this thing (the allergen) doesn’t suit you, can harm you, don’t consume”.Signs of inflammation, fever, a mild abdominal pain, all these are body’s protective and communication means to make us aware of the inner state and divert our attention towards our own health. Breathlessness, fatigue can be tiny calls but they may be suggesting a massive chronic underlying condition.

If we start taking care of these mild signs when they stay mild, so many diseases can be avoided. Even in Ayurveda, there is a principle that states the importance of taking care of the disease when it presents only primordial symptoms.

So let’s not miss more calls from our body when it’s asking for our help. Let’s listen to our body for our own sake!

So true. The base of Ayurveda itself is - To preserve ones health and to treat diseases. The first things what we study in Ayurveda is Dinacharya (daily routine) and Rithucharya (seasonal routine).
If one tries to follow at least half of what is mentioned in Classics , we can be disease free.

So true. The biological feedback loops in the human body are incredible. Even something as simple as fatigue is actually a complex systemic signal. Taking action during those primordial symptoms is definitely the key to long-term preventative health.

Exactly!

Out body is the perfect machine. It’s surprising to see that while our cells work perfectly, humans on the other hand are epitome of imperfectness.

True!

Nice take! Humans are definitely imperfect. But imperfections make us perfect.

Very well written. Our body truly communicates through early warning signs, and recognizing them early is key to preventive healthcare. Prevention is always better than cure.

Agreed! The way human body works is so complex yet very fascinating. Our internal organs work tirelessly to provide the energy and constantly monitors every part to prevent any harmful reactions. When we get affected by anything even before we take medications our natural body enzymes work first to reduce the negative reactions. Our body is always trying to protect us from every possible problem affecting our health and functioning and that is such an amazing thing.

So true, just because some symptoms feel so common or stress-related, we tend to ignore them. But sometimes they’re early signs of something more serious, and recognising them early can make treatment much easier and prevent things from getting worse.

So true. We usually ignore small signs from our body thinking it’s nothing, but later they turn into bigger issues. This is a good reminder to actually pay attention and take care of ourselves before things get serious.
