Korean Skin On Indian Genes: A Reality Check

Nowadays Indian crowd are becoming increasingly Influenced by Korean Culture,Art,Fashion and most important a Korean skincare. Many admire their shinny, glassy, dewy, flawless spotless, poreless skin and start chasing to achieve “The Korean Glass skin”.

Skin Health is totally depends on External Factors like Weather,Geography,Sunlight exposure and Internal factors like Diet,Metabolism,Gut Health,Hormones and Genes.

In Korea weather is cold and dry so Korean product usually focus on hydration also their diet include fermented vegetables, sea food.Genetically Korean people have less body and facial hair, minute pores which makes their skin already look flawless. But India is geographically diverse country weather is hot and humid.Indian are mostly vegetarian and Indian skin have more melanin.

An Indian person cannot get Korean glass glow by using expensive products.there is no doubt that Korean products are nourishing it gives intense hydration and useful in dark spot correction but hoping to get skin like korean people is not possible because we cannot change our genetics.

Good skin doesn’t mean that having glass skin.good hydration, sun protection using good spf,and maintaining skin barrier is good enough to get healthy and glowy skin.

Let’s normalise skin pores, and minor flaws in skin and take care what we have.

I really liked this perspective. We often forget that skincare should be about understanding our own skin not trying to copy someone else’s. Genetics, climate and lifestyle shape our skin in ways that no product can completely change. Healthy skin doesn’t have to be poreless or ‘glass-like’.

I think we should understand this it’s skin that is cared for, protected and comfortable in its own way.

We should protect our skin by natural means

Very true. Following random trends blindly can sometimes cost your health and your pocket. So it’s better to stay focused on health and happiness. Nobody is perfect, as shown on social platforms. Don’t be insecure about your looks, just be proud of it.
