solution should be offered and family member should be there to make it work in absence of doctor

Excellent point of view, patients often react differently when they are allowed to do certain things rather than when they are restricted. This also leads to better patient compliance when patients are introduced to the things they can do as an alternative rather than just telling them what not to and shutting the doors for them.

Yes, exactly we many times see this kind of patients with whom the tone of voice matters. Even if you are trying to explain them, they will still check your tone before listening.

Being right does not change people being received does. If someone tells you not to do something you might stop listening.. If they say try this instead you are more likely to listen. It is the message but it is said in a nicer way so it works better. Communication works best when it feels like someone is helping you not telling you what to do.
