Both have pros and cons, but workplace can give me discipline while WFH can offer comfort and flexibility for me .

Not at all a shortcut. In fact, work from home often comes with more tasks and responsibilities. The only advantage is a calmer environment, which helps focus better but definitely not an easy way out…..

I feel the hybrid model is best. If you have fixed work timings, then WFO works, but if your boss expects you to work even after your work hours and you have unavoidable meetings, then WFO becomes problematic when traveling consumes hours. WFH depends on how disciplined you are with your work. So, WFO is not for everyone. But it’s best if you have good team coordination and honest employees, though how you will judge one is a question. Personally, I was most productive when I worked from home. I saved time on traveling and not only worked but also acquired various skills and did some courses. However, the major challenge was dealing with unproductive people in the team who weren’t serious about their deadlines and tasks. They can be a real headache because if one person is undisciplined, the whole team suffers. WFO also very much depends on your home environment too—if your home setup is not conducive to working, it can impact productivity. Viola! We’re back to the office.

Contrary to most point of views here, offices are moving away from WFH Set up and asking employees to show up in office everyday. Although I accept that Work from Home set up does not compromise productivity, there is something about the Working From Office set up that just always put it on higher pedestal than WFH. Office offers culture, required and justified work pressure and community that is sacrosanct for the professional growth.

As far as I am concerned, I suffer in WFH culture. It is just not my cup of tea. But this is not to say that it’s same for everyone. To my mind, Hybrid is a way to go!

I think both options have their own benefits. Working from home gives comfort, saves travel time, and allows more flexibility. But going to the workplace helps in meeting people, learning teamwork, and staying disciplined. For freshers, office work is better to gain experience and confidence. Later, work from home can be useful for balance and flexibility. Personally, I would prefer a mix of both, depending on the situation.

Yes. I think WFH is a shortcut. Many, but not all, employees don’t do their tasks on the priority as they do in the office.

I will prefer from work from home rather than work from office,

i prefer work from home as it is comforting and flexible, but some say work from office offers discipline and time management. In my opinion both has its pros and cons. I think for a fresher work from office is better to build teamwork, work life balance and improve confidence.

If asked about preference, like most I prefer WFH. But it is definitely not an easy way out since you end up working for more hours, since you can remain flexible, So finally you end up investing more hours since it is expected of you for the leniency you have been provided.
