Is medicine still your dream?

Has your view about the medical field changed since you joined? Do you still feel the same passion?

Goal wasn’t medicine .. for me medicine was just the road that took me to my destination that was to heal people and I knew that the road was gonna be rough but at the end of the day reaching there was important.

@Dr.Harshwardhan medicine is not a main aim , main aim is healing through medicine i e to increase patient compliance and patient health problem like mental health, physical health , emotional health . etc. if we think what was last impact we can create in patient life through medicine in various ways.

This needs to be widely spoken about.

Medicine is a noble profession. But, yes, the compensations are coming down (doctors in USA do not make as much as they used to make 2 decades ago) and the hype and hoopla of the virtual world is causing murkiness. In today’s schema of healthcare system, we have been reduced from doctors to ‘healthcare providers’. Hey, as has been predicted by Steve Jobs, in next decade or so, doctors and teachers are going to lose jobs, thanks to A.I.
So, sit tight and keep studying (do not forget to make notes and flash cards) and be optimist!
Peace!

More than reading this question, I was smiling and imagining myself when I took that decision 6 years ago … Is it still the same, maybe.. but do I want to change it now , maybe not :maple_leaf:

Yes , I still feel the same passion

No, I never regretted my decision.

During my course journey, I gradually started liking what I was doing. My interest grew even more over time, and yes, I’m aware that the field is saturated. But I still believe I’m good at it and I’m confident I’ll do great in this field.
