India Leads Phase‑1 Clinical Trials for Indigenous Cancer Drugs

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI) in Chandigarh has just launched Phase‑1 clinical trials for a home-grown cancer drug targeting solid tumors, under the ICMR’s new national trial network.

Do you think India reaching Phase‑1 is a game-changer in biotech? Would you feel more confident using a cancer drug developed and tested within the country?

You’re right @Shagufta. Until it gets through all the trial phases, it’s hard to see it being available for everyone. There’s still a long way to go before it hits the market.

Absolutely !
