Lecture (offline/online platform) → self study (highlighting) → pointer → learning → practice questions

  1. Lecture from a professional is really important, that can be from your teach of the university or via an online platform like prep, marrow, cerebellum, osmosis, lecturio, youtube etc.
You can select any depending on your preference, however a professional point of view is always required for a booster.

  2. Self study is way too important, sometimes we feel that watching something is enough to retain however to validate that , self study is important.
Studying from various books like for internal medicine Harrison or can be the books used by various platforms like prep or marrow.
It totally depends on which one we prefer to study and which one we understand better since the language is different in different books.

  3. Pointers are “CPR to the dying soul”. Studying from the book and highlight the point will help u pick the important information from the pool of vast information. Then, u can write some short pointers for understanding and mugging up for the exam or viva.

  4. Learning the pointers are easier than mugging up from 1000 pages book

  5. Finally, to asses if we actually understood the topic, try a few questions.
There are questions on platform like prep that are divided according to the topics, but u can also find it on other paid and free platform and even on Google.
Also reading 2-3 cases related to that disease or topic will help u understand how practical application of this topic looks like.

It might look tough but once you get the flow , it becomes a reflex. :four_leaf_clover:

Consider factors such as the complexity of medical concepts, clinical practice, and the need for ongoing learning in your response. How much time do you guys think it would need to study medicine for professional exams?
