I feel home is better because there I can have my comfortable space to study.
I can completely focus only on my studies in home but at hostel there can be lot more challenges than studies .
Studying from hostel teaches us many things. To adjust in every situation. To eat whatever have, not any special choices. In hostel by seeing other’s studying we will be alao get triggered to study. Easy for combine study and clearing doubts.
Day scholars are luck to have good food whatever they like. They don’t got disturbed by others while studying. They are free to go anywhere at any time. But in hostel there will be timings for in and out.
Being a day scholar myself and after knowing the struggles of the hostelers, I found that the life of the day scholar is little bit easier in comparison to hostlers.
It’s like, the things which are advantageous for one is the disadvantage of the another.
I have stayed at home during my ug and pg life.
And it is anyday better than staying in the hostel for various reasons-
The food
The comfort of being home
The family support –
To name a few
From a study-only perspective, hostel life often gives more focus and peer-driven motivation you’re surrounded by students, group studies are easier, and academic discussions happen more naturally.
Day scholars may have better comfort and fewer distractions at home, but they can miss out on the immersive learning environment and late-night revision culture hostels offer.
So, for many, hostel life gives an academic edge provided the student stays disciplined.
I’ve experienced both lifestyles. Adjusting to hostel life was quite challenging for me during the first year of college—it even affected my focus on studies. But over time, I got used to it, made good memories, and started to really enjoy the experience.
Depends upon person to person but by personal experience hostel life is best… It creates memories, friends, teaches u about life along with the learning process
