Hormonal imbalance and Mindfulness

We rarely hear the word hormonal imbalance in our grandparents time. But now the scenario has changed. Every 5th person has hormonal imbalance. This is mainly because of the life style changes that we go through and this change is mandatory for today’s world. The treatment of this hormonal imbalance not only includes taking any medications but also lifestyle changes which includes your diet and moderate exercise. Along with these two being mindful helps to reduce the stress that our body goes through. It reduces the cortisol level and regulates the hypothalamo pitutary ovarian axis and our body metabolism. The stress we undergoes is not only in the mental level but also physically as a loss of balance in our equilibrium and even cells of our body undergoes the same stress that our mind goes through which increases the reactive oxygen species in our body than the normal which is responsible for our immune defense mechanism. This is how a stress impacts our defense mechanism and health.
