Myth - “Detox diets cleanse your body”

Truth: Your liver and kidneys already do the detoxing! Most detox diets are just marketing hype and can sometimes deprive you of essential nutrients

Myth 6: “Skipping meals helps with weight loss”

Truth: Skipping meals can slow metabolism and lead to overeating later. Eating balanced meals at regular intervals actually supports healthier weight management

I grew up believing that eating rice at night always makes you gain weight. But now I know it’s more about portion size and overall balance, not just rice. Learning the truth behind food myths really helps us eat smarter.

I had earlier heard that brown eggs are healthier than the white ones and they are more natural and packed with more better nutrients. It seemed believable because brown eggs are generally expensive too. But now I know the truth that the color of an eggshell does not correlate with the nutritional value of egg and this color is because of the breed of the hen. Both eggs contain the same nutrients.

Detoxification by using special diet its a myth - while the body has natural detoxification system particularly liver and kidney. Our kidney and liver constantly working to eliminate the toxin from the body .detoxification using special diet product may not have scientific evidence and some may be even harmful

While carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is important for vision, they won’t magically give you 20/20 eyesight though they might help you see in the dark… just a little better.

Myth: Microwaving food destroys all its nutrients.
Truth: Microwaving actually preserves nutrients better than many cooking methods, because it heats food quickly and uses less water. Vitamins like vitamin C can be lost in long boiling, but microwaving keeps more of them intact.

I have often heard of a common myth which says " Diet means only eating vegetables and fruits and avoiding non-veg". Whenever someone says they are on diet, I have heard many people asking the same that, do they have only vegetables and fruits?
The truth is that a healthy diet actually includes balanced portions of vegetables, fruits, proteins like lean meats, fish, eggs as well as carbs.

These are good myths to debunk, a common one I grew up hearing was that consuming probiotics like curd and fruits like guava at night would make you fall ill. I’ve never experienced either personally.
