Can health promotion exist without disease prevention? Why or why not?

Disease prevention and health promotion go hand in hand. A lot of diseases are spontaneously avoided when we encourage healthy behaviors. Additionally, preventing disease essentially just promotes healthier life. You can’t have one without the other.

This two are interdependent and most effective when combined. Health promotion creates an environment and motivation for healthier choices, while disease prevention provides targeted interventions to reduce specific risks.

Both of them aims at preventing disease in a population, just working at different level. One is creating awareness and other is segregating high risk groups and treating them. Both goes hand in hand.
