Guess the diagnosis

A 28 year old woman presents with heat intolerance, weight loss despite good appetite, anxiety and irregular periods. On exam, she has a fine tremor , tachycardia, mild exopthalmos.

Drop the diagnosis

The most likely diagnosis is Graves’ disease — an autoimmune cause of hyperthyroidism.

Her symptoms of heat intolerance, weight loss, anxiety, irregular periods, along with signs like fine tremor, tachycardia, and mild exophthalmos, are classic for Graves’.
