That’s why in profession of medicine, mistakes are non negotiable. Unlike other professions person in field of medicine have human body as subject we deal with one living being and cannot compromised his or her life by careless act.

That’s why it is important to take proper history of a patient with fever instead giving a generalised treatment, In this case there might have been other early signs of gas gangrene in this patient which would have led to early and accurate diagnosis preventing complications occurred later.
