Final year BDS exams: Year-wise / Semester which is better

Managing patients and meeting quotas during clinicals especially in our final year is challenging. The pressure of eight theory and practical exams at the end of the year is intense andoverwhelming.
I have personally seen many students struggle to cope with the stress. There was a debate about splitting the final exams into two semesters, with four exams at once and the remaining four six months later.

What is your view on this? How was your experience?

I get the stress about eight subjects but what I feel is that we’ve a lot of common topics in so many subjects itself so if done smartly, year wise exams are perfect as you can focus on your clinical skills during the whole year and not just spend time cramming books.

We did not had semister wise pattern but it’s always planning, targets, fixed study times and technique that helps a lot…
