Three KSRTC bus drivers from Kerala were nearly booked for drunk driving, not because of whisky or wine but because of our very own ripe jackfruit! Yes, you read that right.
During a routine morning breathalyser check at the Pandalam depot, the device flashed a reading of 10-well above the legal alcohol limit. But here’s the twist: none of them had consumed even a drop of alcohol.
Turns out, the strong aroma of a ripe jackfruit they had eaten earlier triggered a false positive in the breathalyser!
