At this point, is NEET-UG conducted across all states or some states do not participate in this? I know today there is news that the central govt has disallowed exemption for Tamil Nadu.
But does it mean TN was not participating in NEET-UG until now?

No, Tamil Nadu is not exempted from NEET-UG. We still have it every year.
Until 2017, Tamil Nadu used its own system for medical admissions based on marks from the state board exams, but in 2017 it was forced to implement the NEET for medical admissions like all other states.

Thanks. West Bengal also wants exemption from NEET UG.
States like Tamil Nadu and West Bengal say that NEET discriminates against students from rural areas and state boards. That’s why they want to exit this system and build their own.
