I heard a lot of my classmates saying that they listen to music while studying or writing the assignments. I do listen to music and songs but not to during study. I listen to them when I have a lot of assignments pending and or lot of writings to do. I have not tried listening to music while actively studying for an exam.
what are your opinion or your experience of listening to music while studying. Does it help you improve your focus on studies or district you?
I generally don’t prefer to listen music while studying
Same here. I also don’t listen to music while studying, this theory doesn’t works for me.But I do listen while completing my records and assignments.
Honestly, I don’t think so. I personally feel we can’t fully focus on two things at a time. If we’re studying or writing an assignment, we need to understand the concept deeply. But if music is playing in the background, especially with lyrics, I feel it grabs part of our attention. I really wonder how some people manage to do both. If they can study and enjoy music without missing focus, that’s great — but for me, it doesn’t work that way. I prefer silence when it comes to actual studying.
I too prefer music while writing assignments but i never tried while studying.
For studying we need more focus and concentration. Music will take us to some other world i guess😅
I used to listen to music earlier while studying but overtime music tends to distract me from studies. So as a result I have stopped listening to music while studying.
Honestly I tried this for my maths studies. That really helped me but for other subjects I never tried.
Music can help improve focus while studying, but it depends on the person and the type of music. Some people find that instrumental or classical music creates a calm environment and blocks out distractions, helping them concentrate better. Others may find lyrics or upbeat tunes distracting. In my experience soft background music without words often helps improve focus, while loud or lyrical music can be distracting for tasks that require deep thinking.
For writing and copy works I like to listen music and it helps in improving focus but for any new learning and solving a thing I don’t prefer listening to tye music as it distracts me from focusing on the thing.
I think before studying you can listen music to relaxed you mind and focus on one thing it will help.
I usually listen to music while doing any assignments or writing stuffs. But, in case of active studying, I don’t prefer listening music as it diverge my concentration and focus from the studies.
Music while studying?
It’ll distract us, I think.
Yes for me it works really well. Even till today I will listen every single day music especially during my study breaks
No, I don’t think so. In my way, it doesn’t work out. I don’t know how they can concentrate on both at the same time. I even can’t focus; I’ll always try to focus on a particular task. I can’t do both at the same time. Listening to music while studying and writing doesn’t work out for me. But anyways, music calms us.
Songs/music only help when copying someone’s notes, writing practical files, and solving math problems, which I don’t consider actual studying.
Music doesn’t aid learning or studying, but it can help with relaxation.
In my opinion, music can help improve focus while studying, but it depends on the type of music and the person. Soft instrumental or lo-fi music often boosts concentration, but lyrics or loud beats can be distracting. It’s all about finding what works best for you.
