Even though many individuals rely on home remedies as a first step, since the pandemic, people have been rushing to hospitals even for common colds. This may weaken their immune system over time.
Yes, with the pandemic, everybody goes into a frenzy even with a little sneeze or cough.
A cold or cough does not require antibiotic.

I don’t use antibiotics in cold.
People are unaware of antibiotic resistance.
For cold, they will take cetrizine or paracetamol without any prescription.
They themselves will treat with ot without knowing the core cause.
But some states have partially implemented not to give medicines without prescription. Eventually, these implementation will decrease the use of antibiotics usage by people.

Nobody should take antibiotics just because they are having little bit of cold.
Yes, this can be the potential reasons. But this should not be suppose to be like that as their will be higher chances of becoming resistant to the antibiotics.
Also, if they are using they mostly do not complete the course of the medication.
This things can only be change by awaring the people by united efforts of medical shop owners and all healthcare professionals.
