Digital healthcare has been growing post COVID immensely within India and globally. Currently, we stay in a busy world that’s running too fast and to match up with that, even most of us have to run in the same pace. Now, many have a busy professional life and personal lives are so tangled too and because of that, when any health issue is emerging (physical/mental/emotional), people are looking for options that are easily reachable and that’s where digital healthcare is so significant. Few significant steps we can take to protect as much personal data as we can include, giving strong passwords inclusive of more symbols while signing up for the app, also check the app reviews or ratings or search about if it is legit or not on the internet and only use the apps that are scientifically validated and renowned. Also we can check through mobile, what sort of data the app is utilizing and not linking these health apps with any social media accounts that’s connected with our identity and related email IDs. We can use these apps through a distinct email ID made only for this. In case of telemedicine, better to use a personalized network system than a public wifi. These few steps can help in protecting against the leakage of our personal data to a third party and related other sources.
Digital health is not just a technological shift it’s a cultural and ethical one. To truly benefit from these advancements, the next generation of healthcare professionals must be as fluent in privacy and protection as they are in diagnosis and treatment. A tech driven system is only as strong as the trust it earns.
Digital health is just in the starting,
It has to go a long way now
It needs all the security checks and most importantly it should be open and would be able to handled from the server side too as it gives the patient freedom to choose the illness to show to the doctor on the App
