I think maintaining a good posture have significant contribution towards health and professionalism. As it had not stated today or in recent past years but it had came from our genration to generations. Bad postures may contribute to neck, back or joint stiffness which indirectly affects your normal qualify of life: you remain upset, cannot focus on task you are performing, etc. Whereas practising yoga in right way may help one to maintain flexibility and good posture.
Yes , One should maintain a good posture. A bad posture can lead to many long term joint problems. Thank for the information that it varies in different situations.
Sitting up straight is good, but sitting for too long in any position can be bad. It’s better to move and stretch often to stay comfortable.
What they are mostly indicating here is that not every posture that is considered good/helpful can be practiced by everyone, because there might be a possibility that people with certain health issues can not adopt certain postures as that might cause pain/discomfort or might be harmful for the organ related to the disease they are suffering, like people with heart issues find it difficult to practice “Ujjayi pranayama”. Good postures are definitely important, as it plays a pivotal role in maintaning many internal and external organs of the body. A good posture keeps the neck pain away that can help alleviate headache, migraine, and shoulder pain. Sometimes pain that’s caused by not maintaining good posture can create stress (external strain and internal stress) too. Besides, good posture helps in maintaining a good core, prevents knee, ankle and feet pain, keeps the spinal cord intact and most importantly keeps the tail bone healthy, as pain in this region can radiate all over the body and can cause more pain. In Yoga too, all the poses/asanas are designed and practiced also in such a way that people with no health issues can practice it in a regular way and people with disease can practice it in some way. So, overall, postures can be adopted based upon the way it is comfortable for each individual (generally this is applicable for people with certain conditions) and others (without conditions) should practice good postures firmly.
Actually there is a good posture ,like for tall people u have generally seen them more bended than the shorter guys and if a person work on his posture he can fix that
Staying in the same posture for hours creates spine problems
Changing postures is better
But postures not always about back pain
Would u like to introduce yourself with your shoulders slouched?
Posture differs according to different situations
Great point! Good posture isn’t about staying rigid it’s about being comfortable and moving regularly. Staying in any position too long, even “perfect posture,” can cause strain. Movement is key!
I think, the importance of good posture can vary from person to person depending on factors like individual health, lifestyle, occupation, age and physical ability. So, the good posture is generally beneficial, its important can indeed depend on individual circumstances.
Yes I agree.
“There is no single correct posture” completely agree with the statement.
Maintaining a good posture when you work in a same position for long duration is very important. It helps to prevent joint pains and aches. In case you don’t maintain proper posture then, you will see the negative effects on the body after a series of knock outs. Then again you take a longer period of time to correct it and get back to fitness.
yes , as growing up .i was always scold for the way i stand , i sit , it make me annoyed at that time . But now i am like thank god i got scold for that or else i had bad posture
Yes I have been corrected about my posture many times and I should say it worked.Comfort is a sign of good posture but sitting or standing in a bad position all the time will result in problems after problems such as back or neck pain.Although it is not ideal to be in the same position,it does not mean that posture cannot be ignored.Good posture relieves the strain on our spine and aids concentration.Naturally, it is important to go on breaks and move, but the sheer disregard of posture may be even more harmful in the long term.
Oh, I see what you mean. Is it about maintaining a good posture that also feels comfortable for you? A mix of both. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Its really a good thing that everyone should follow for the better life✅️
I always used to feel like if sitting in a straight posture is not comfortable for me then why should I do it? But now I have realised that whenever we do a task that requires high concentration and focus, we must sit straight. It also avoids hunchback while standing or walking and its a part of our body language.
Always thought that maintaining a good posture is always important but this changed my way of thinking.
Yes — 100%. It’s time to redefine “good posture” as being adaptable, dynamic, and comfortable, not just rigidly upright. Listening to your body, shifting positions, and moving regularly is what truly supports long-term health.
Sitting straight up is good for our back it maintain our good posture. But sometimes it being painful for us that we can’t sit long time straight up ways. But we can move and shift our positions often instead of maintaining one posture.
I do support the importance of maintaining good posture.
If one’s posture is not ideal, it can potentially lead to various forms of discomfort.
While comfort is certainly important, maintaining good posture can significantly enhance efficiency.
