In college, many of us stay quiet during lectures or labs because we’re afraid of sounding “silly” or think everyone else already knows the answer. But in reality, asking questions is one of the strongest ways to learn.
Every question opens a door — it clears your doubt, helps others who might have the same confusion, and shows your teachers that you’re engaged. No one remembers who asked what, but you remember the answer for life.
If I could go back, I’d remind myself: It’s better to look curious for a moment than stay confused forever.
What about you? Do you feel comfortable asking questions in class, or do you hold back?
I used to stay back then after few months I felt my parents pay money and I still can’t clear the doubts I have so I started to not hesitate to ask any doubt
Totally agree Asking questions might feel intimidating at first, but it often solves our question. I’ve realized it’s not a sign of weakness because it’s a sign of genuine learning.
Yeah… that’s very true… I used to hesitate in the beginning. But somehow I broke it … breaking that self doubt will give many opportunities and in turn helps to develop knowledge in depth
Asking questions in college is something very different form school , cause in college some teacher have attitude that why a student is asking questions which I have explained and sometimes that leads to a argument
Earlier I used to hold back because I felt shy and worried about what others might think. But now I’ve realized that asking questions clears doubts not only for me but also for others in the class. So I try to be more open in asking whenever something isn’t clear.
I think it also depends on the space we are. An intimidating teacher may cause hesitation, while a friendly and encouraging teacher help us to feel comfortable to ask questions and clarify doubts. Even so, asking questions and clearing doubts are always better than staying confused.
