25 year old Jai, likes to excercise alot and pull weights. He has a good physique but sometimes he ego lifts weights to show strength. During one such event in grabbed weight down from the floor. He felt a sharp razor like pain going through his groin to his scrotum. A few days later he discovered a lump of swelling near his groin below his waist. He mistook it for a normal swelling and went on. Days later it started paining and hurting alot, he couldn’t eat or sit properly. Passing stools or urinating became difficult. He went to see a doctor when doctor told him to run an immediate MRI. After examining the MRI, Jai was asked to undergo a surgery. The surgery went well and Jai recovered.
Could you guess the diagnosis?
What kind of Surgery must have been used?
Sounds like an inguinal hernia, likely triggered by strain from heavy lifting.
The sharp groin pain and bulge are classic signs.
He probably underwent hernia repair surgery, most likely a laparoscopic inguinal hernioplasty.
